Service Description
FixPDFCopy.com provides a PDF text layer fixing service. We use optical character recognition (OCR) technology to rebuild the text layer in PDF documents, making them searchable and enabling accurate copy and paste functionality.
Acceptable Use
By using this service, you agree to the following:
- You may only upload PDF files. Other file types are not supported and will be rejected.
- Uploaded files must not exceed 100MB in size.
- You must not upload files containing illegal content, malware, or material that infringes on the rights of others.
- You must not attempt to abuse, disrupt, or overload the service through automated scripts, bots, or excessive requests.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the documents you upload.
No Accuracy Guarantee
OCR technology is inherently best-effort. While we use enterprise-grade OCR (AWS Textract) and carefully reconstruct text layers, results may vary depending on the quality and complexity of your original document. Factors that can affect accuracy include:
- Low-resolution scans or images
- Handwritten text
- Complex layouts, tables, or unusual fonts
- Documents in languages with limited OCR support
If the processed PDF does not meet your expectations, you are entitled to a full refund under our Refund Policy.
Payment
Pricing is displayed before you complete your purchase:
- Base price: $1.00 for documents up to 10 pages.
- Additional pages: $0.01 per page beyond 10 pages.
- All prices are in US dollars.
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all files you upload and all processed files you download. We do not claim any ownership or rights over your documents. Your files are automatically deleted from our servers after 7 days.
Limitation of Liability
This service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
- We are not responsible for any loss of data, though we take reasonable precautions to protect your files during processing.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
